Haphazardly hanging out on smooth waters

Floating on my ship in a bottle

But eventually crashing into a coast

I wander on land and find an opening

I stop and think as the sunlight goes away

My ship is wrecked, and there is no one else out here

I peer inside and see that it's a cave

I don't think this is where I want to go

Yet here I am at the entry way

Walking, slipping sideways down the rocky stairs

Reaching back to try to hold on to

Anything at all

Anything at all

Hunchbacked gnomes waddle to their daily work

With torch in hand, one comes over and grabs my tongue

He says I can stay or die trying to leave

After all, this is the best grotto

I can tell that here I won't last long

So before I choke on my thoughts

I decide that later tonight

I'll get out of here

I'll get out of here

I'll get out of here

Been down here for awhile

And my hump's coming in okay

Got a little money

And live near the opening by the bay

If I get caught a second time

I'm not sure that I'll once again survive

So for years I've been working on a plan

To try get out alive

As the years pass I am not exactly sure

Why I'm doing the things I do

But I do know that I will probably

Be doing them tomorrow too
